  • 24 Oras launched a new graphics package on Monday.

While keeping the set, OBB and its metallic titlecard animation, the 24 Oras team decided to go for a more cleaner and cohesive look that now matches the set.
The new OTS improved a lot and is now more readable on-screen with its bigger typeface. The previous one was designed to look a lot more like the newscast's logo.
LinkFinally, they listened to us. Last February, during its relaunch, we wrote:
The new L3 graphics needs a minor change though as they need to make the fonts bigger, as older viewers will struggle reading the L3 headline on screen. Majority of the viewers of the 6:30 newscasts are the older viewers, and while they may not be the target audience of advertisers, they contribute a lot in the weekly ratings average of the newscast. The new lowerthird graphics now has a bigger font size, a simpler and cleaner look. While it resembles that of TV Patrol and SONA, its apparent inspiration was obviously Saksi, the network's late-night newscast. Before, it had all these sharp edges that don't blend well with the entire set design.
The L3 for the news subject and reporter now has bigger typeface and leans more to white and red color from the white-yellow combination. The new bug animation also seemed to be similar to Bandila in a lot of ways, with its social media accounts flashing on the screen.

Now, if only they can do something at that large screen projector and that wide set. Maybe they can try adding a newsroom on the set considering it's too huge and can accommodate more space. It will definitely improve its overall look. Knowing 24 Oras, there may be some changes again soon.
