  • Malacañang on Thursday announced that November 7, 2011 (Monday) has been declared as a regular holiday throughout the country for the important Muslim religious celebration Eid'l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice). This was confirmed by Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte in her Twitter account.

    November 7, 2011 declared regular holiday for Eid'l Adha"Yes, November 7 has been declared a regular holiday. Enjoy, folks! "Eid'l Adha falls on November 7 [Monday], which has been declared a regular holiday," Valte said.

    Malacanang has also issued Proclamation No. 276, noting that the "National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) recommended that the observance of Eidul Adha be on 7 November 2011 and the Eidul Adha prayer held on 6 November 2011."

    Enjoy two consecutive long weekends on November.
